Meet the team

Alyssa started this organization in 2023 as an 8th grader, to help provide backpacks filled with necessities and comfort items to children in local juvenile courts. With the help of younger sister Lily, and through generous donations, more than 150 Backpacks of Hope have been distributed in juvenile courts throughout Worcester County.

The organization has grown tremendously since then. For the past 2 years, Backpacks of Hope has partnered with local organizations to provide backpacks of comfort items and necessities to clients facing challenges including homelessness, In 2026, the organization embarked on its first drive to provide “Welcome Home” Baskets of household and personal essentials to clients moving into their first apartments after homelessness.
